This three day trip is centered around a day hike up to Camp Muir following the infamous Muir Snow Field trail. This 8.4-mile out-and-back trail near Paradise Inn, Washington, is generally considered a challenging route and takes an average of 7 h 18 min to complete. This is a very popular area for backpacking, camping, and hiking, so we’ll encounter other people while exploring.

This hike is often considered a bucket list hike and we have created a trip focused on celebrating your Camp Muir ascent. This trip is designed by folks experienced with this trail, so we know what it takes and the comforts needed to support the ascent.

Lodging, all meals, transportation and experienced guides are all included for this weekend.

*PLEASE NOTE*: This trip has certain requirements to attend as the trail requires peak fitness. The hike ascends 1000 ft per mile and also, due to it being above the cloud line, can sometimes cause altitude symptoms. This is considered a “hard” difficulty level trail. While our guides will help to motivate you, please try the workout regimen recommended in advance by the guide.

  • Trip fee: $875 per person*

    Minimum of 6 participants needed to run this trip.

  • The lodge is steps from the entrance of Mount Rainier National Park. It operates as a classic montaineeing bunkhouse. Please note all rooms will have double occupancy, with individual beds if needed.

  • Meals:
    Friday’s welcome dinner, Saturday’s breakfast, simple lunch bag for the trail, and Celebration Dinner. Sunday’s Breakfast.

    Activities:
    Friday night gear check with the guide. Full guided trek up to Camp Muir. All National Park Entrance Fees. Transportation up the mountain if you’d like

    Lodging:
    Our full lodge buy out is complete with front porch, fire pit, great view of the stars, full commercial kitchen, and three bathrooms for showering after the climb.

  • Travel to Ashford, WA.

    Any of your gear for the climb. However, we will give you a gear list.

    Any alcoholic beverages. Although, your lodging will provide an honor bar and wine sales from Ebb & Co. You may also BYOB for this event.

    Any additional snacks outside of our meal time. Please bring any snacks you might require for the lodge and the trail.

2024 TRIP ITINERARY

Friday -
- Arrive at the Lodge in Ashford, WA anytime between 5pm and 7pm to check into your room and enjoy our Welcome Happy Hour.
- Dinner will begin around 7:30pm. During the meal, you’ll also meet with your guides and climbing team to discuss the ascent, as well as a gear check.

Saturday -
- Awake for coffee and breakfast (or take it on the road). Leave the lodge at 7am. (8am if Monday climb)
- Arrive to Paradise parking at 8am and start for the trail.
- Break for lunch at the guide’s discretion
- 1-2pm arrival at Camp Muir. Celebrate with beverages and photos. Enjoy looking at the peaks above the clouds.
- Start descent down the snowfield.
- 5:30pm arrive back to Paradise parking.
- 6:30- 7:00pm arrive back to lodging. Showers and a wood-fired feast will be waiting for you.
- Relax the rest of the evening. Play games. Star gaze. Roast marshmallows.

Sunday -
Enjoy a slow and easy morning filled with coffee and decadent breakfast. Move at your own pace.
