ABOUT WINDWARD ADVENTURES

Windward Adventures is a mix of chefs, woodworkers, event planners, artists, musicians, adventure guides, and wine lovers who have joined forces to combine outdoor adventure with impeccable dining in the Pacific Northwest. We believe that slowing down, eating well, exploring the outdoors, and connecting with our community is what makes life special.
Let us show you what Washington State has to offer!

Ashley Morford-Haines / Head Chef & Owner
Opening in 2021, Ashley has built Windward to become a one-of-a-kind Washington State experience company. After training at The Culinary Institute of America in New York and working around the world for over eighteen years - including several years at Chez Panisse in Berkeley, CA - Ashley brings her favorite parts of the culinary experience to the PNW. She believes that creating lasting memories is the most important part of living.

Eric is a Seattle-based designer and artist specializing in graphic and interior design. Eric created the Windward logo, is on call for any of our freak out website disasters, and is the man behind a lot of our company’s products and designs. Basically if we need anything to look great, his advice is our North Star.

She sees nature as a core value of the human experience and can often be found in the forest with her dog Loki. The pandemic tacked her course and brought her to Beautiful Vashon Island where she reconnected with Ashley and has been a familiar face at Windward events ever since. Kate is a certified yoga instructor, runs a spirits import company, and our Vashon Island Trip Advisor.

It may be that the gulfs will
wash us down.
It may be that we shall touch the Happy Isles.
Though much is taken,
much abides.
And though we are not now that strength that in old days moved earth and heaven,
that which we are, we are.
One equal temper of heroic hearts
made weak by time and fate,
but strong in will.
To seek, to strive, to learn,
and not to yield.
