January 17th & 18th - Schnitzel Fest to celebrate Hofgut Falkenstein wine

$65.00

Friday January 17th and Saturday January 18th, 2025
Seatings at: 5:30pm, 7:30pm, 9:00pm
Wine Tasting Event at Light Sleeper in Capitol Hill
$65/per person

Hello my fellow winter-in-Seattle comrades. In partnership with Light Sleeper I am happy to announce a special wine tasting event. Hofgut Falkenstein produces wine in the Mosel region of Germany *see more info below. Our Schnitzel night will include extraordinary German wine and delicious food.

Your ticket gets you:
One schnitzel plate - a whopper of a buttery fried schnitzel of your choosing - either pork, chicken, or smoked eggplant. Each plate comes with warm parsley potatoes, an Austrian-style cucumber salad, and huckleberry jam. Dinner also includes a green salad for the table.
Profits on food to benefit World Central Kitchen in their efforts to help feed those who have lost their homes in the LA fires.
One tasting of three fabulous German wines - From the book of Hofgut Falkenstein curated by Ezra of Light Sleeper. Additional beverages/more wine will be available for purchase at the event.

*About the wine: Hofgut Falkenstein’s Erich and Johannes Weber turn their “old school Saar” terroir into liquid gold annually. Their meticulously crafted Rieslings are renowned, exceptionally pure and very limited. These are ageless wines and represent the most true expression of the grape, and of the Mosel, that one can find. We’ll be pouring multiple cuvées from the just released 2023 vintage, as well as a few back vintage wines for context. And of course, there will be some of their delicious white Pét-Nat as well as pink and red versions of Spätburgunder. We’ve been working on this event for a few years! Don’t miss it.

Wanting a little something else with your meal? Take a look at the add on options below.
Only want food? Choose the add on below.
Only want wine? Just come on in! You can pay a $30 tasting fee or buy by the glass. Join the party, wine lover!
